MetalFX Technology, a Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation subsidiary, is sponsoring a design competition among North American students, to demonstrate the capabilities of metallic printing. The competition requires students to submit a graphic design demonstrating the power of metallic printing. The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Graph Expo 2008 in Chicago, where the winning design will be exhibited. Designs must be submitted by July 31, 2008. To enable students to participate, MetalFX is donating its software to as many as 100 schools throughout North America. MetalFX is a universal process and spot metallic color system that allows millions of metallic colors to be printed, all by adding only the one base silver ink to the usual CMYK mix.
